By Midwest - Mobile Stud Service
The 'By Midwest' Difference
As breeders for more than two decades, Midwest Chihuahuas served the entire United States with incredible puppies. In late 2024, we decided to slowly end our active, in-home breeding program. Instead, we have focused these last two years on finishing up fulfilling our final waiting lists and adding the final perfect dogs to move us toward our new future as a mobile stud service program.
Why mobile stud service?
For decades now, Artificial Insemination has been the choice for breeders looking to use outside studs not geographically practical to them. While AI has convenience options, it can be very expensive, the timing must be right, and it is not practical for your average breeder and most hobby breeders simply are unable to use the option. Add to that the difficulty in finding the right stud owner to use and it becomes a logistical nightmare for many.
The truth is that traditional mating is still the most effective method for successful, healthy, full litters.
By Midwest is owned by two well-traveled Veterans and starting in January of 2027, we will be available to fly to breeders across the USA to meet. We also have a pull behind vintage camper, and some stud service will be offered as we travel the USA for fun and business!
Our studs are not common. Each has been uniquely chosen so that no matter what color, pattern or size you are looking for, we have you covered! All our males are Embark Vet DNA tested, sperm checked, are OFA or have preliminary OFA work done (due to age) and all are social, trained house dogs. We do not crate, we do not use outbuildings, we do not use belly bands as we are blessed to have trained males who understand marking is not appropriate in-house behavior.
Each stud will be able to be found on their own page here on the website.
